Today my doctor confirmed that Jacob is going to be a big brother. Chris and I were able to see a baby, a heartbeat, and other indications that everything looks good. It is still very early (8.5 weeks), but my doctor - who has always wanted to prepare me for the worst - is very optimistic that everything will proceed smoothly. Official due date is Thanksgiving Day (November 25th) but we will be scheduling a C-section for the beginning of November. This will put Jacob and his sibling right about 2 years apart.

And we all know 2 years is the perfect distance between siblings :-P It also makes it easier to remember birthdays because they are always odd and even together :-D
