I am fairly certain that this past month was the shortest in history. Things are still going well here and we certainly have much to be thankful for. For one thing, we are incredibly grateful to my mom for all of her help over the past month. She headed back to Atlanta this morning and we will definitely miss her. A couple of strange thoughts on Thanksgiving: 1. last year was Jacob's first Thanksgiving and this year was Alex's and 2. Thanksgiving day was my actual due date. Alex was already three weeks old and I can't imagine it any other way.
In other news, Jacob had his 2 year appointment and Alex had a weight check on Monday and both of them are doing well. Jacob's second birthday is on Thursday. We're keeping it pretty low-key, especially since we've had so much going on lately. But he really loves his early present: a Jacob sized table and chairs with a little chalkboard and clips for paper and crayons.
