| Alex's Birthday Cake |
Alex's birthday is November 3rd, so really right after Halloween. He requested a vanilla cake with vanilla icing, in the shape of a three, with a train. A pretty tall order, but we were all very happy with the results. His birthday was on a Sunday and right after church we headed out to spend the day at Happy Hollow. My friend Brittany happened to be volunteering there that day and arranged a special animal meet and greet where she let the boys pick the animals. We are members at Happy Hollow and have spent a lot of time there this year, but it was so much fun that Jacob decided he wanted to do the same thing for his birthday!

Alex got many great gifts this year. Among his favorites: wooden train tracks. a game called Zingo, and this nifty take apart airplane, complete with power drill.
