While Chris was between jobs we had a number of adventures. The first of which was a trip to the Children’s Discovery Museum in San Jose. We got there right about 10 which is when they open and we figured we’d stay until 1ish and then go home for nap time. We ended up staying until about four. Being at a children’s museum in the mid afternoon is interesting because all of the kids are still running around like maniacs, but the parents are glazed over and ready to take a nap. But that just goes to show that it’s a great place for kids!
Jacob had an absolute blast. He’s on the young side for many of the activities, but he thoroughly enjoyed the bubbles and the traffic light that was right at his level. His favorite though, was the water play section. Since I knew this was coming, I brought a change of clothes and didn’t bother putting an apron on him. There were towers where you could collect a stack of plastic balls and allow the water pressure to build up until you could shoot the balls high into the air and in many directions. There was a place where you could shoot a plastic ball into a large funnel of water. It was lots of fun and I think he’d still be there if we’d let him.
